Temporary Facilities Laborer Job Summary & Responsibilities:This on‑site role is located in Bingham Lake, MN. The Temporary Facilities Laborer is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment on the commercial building site, supporting general facility projects, and operating POET fleet vehicles for maintenance and cleanup. General landscaping and lawn care: watering, mowing, weed maintenance, trimming and replacing shrubs, applying lawn fertilizers. Internal and external building cleaning and maintenance: glass window cleaning, painting handrails, equipment or guard protection, light bulb replacement, general area cleanup. Using facilities equipment to complete work throughout the campus. Supporting general facility projects and repairs: picking up parts, assisting with equipment repair, cleaning equipment components, shadowing technician roles. Operating POET fleet vehicles for maintenance service and cleanup. Fostering a culture of safe behavior and environmental compliance. Maintaining a team environment and championing POET in the community. Maintaining food safety and quality of POET’s products and processes. Pay: $16–$18 per hour, depending on experience. Qualifications & Skills Pursuing or completion of a high school diploma or equivalent education. General safety awareness and willingness to take direction on task completion. Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently on various projects. Knowledge of basic Microsoft Office Suite and willingness to learn new programs. Practical decision‑making skills, high level of personal integrity, and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated problem‑solving and critical‑thinking skills, innovative mindset, and objective thinking. Self‑awareness in the face of uncertainty and ability to work in a team environment. Physical Requirements & Work Environment Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, gloves, safety glasses, steel‑toed boots, respiratory protection, hazardous material suits, and hearing protection. Work at extreme heights (~150 ft), in confined spaces, and in temperatures ranging from –20 to +100 °F, both indoors and outdoors. Use cleaning equipment/tools such as cleaning carts, forklifts, riding and push lawn mowers, bobcat sweepers, vacuums, snow blowers, shovels, brooms, mops, and ladders. Walk on slippery surfaces; grip forces up to 20 lbs; push or pull up to 30 lbs; bend forward while standing; repetitive arm motions for wiping down and maintaining work area. Occasionally lift or carry up to 50 lbs, with or without assistance; maintain awkward back, shoulder, wrist, and hand positions. Subject to physical fitness and drug screening during pre‑screening, as well as random drug and alcohol testing while employed.
