Account Executive

$60k - $200k

BURTON'S FIRE, INC.

This is a full-time fire apparatus sales role with heavy travel, and applicants can be based anywhere in central or northern California. The Account Executive will be responsible for identifying potential clients, maintaining relationships with existing customers, and promoting Rosenbauer fire apparatus. Additional tasks include preparing proposals, negotiating contracts, promoting parts and services, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the full sales cycle.

Desired Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in a quota-carrying sales position
  • Strong knowledge and experience with fire apparatus
  • Direct firefighting experience (paid or volunteer) is a plus
Desired skills
  • Strong sales, business development, and client relationship management skills
  • Effective communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities
  • Skilled relationship builder with a long-term focus on customer satisfaction
Job Requirements
  • Ability to travel 50-100% in any given week, both throughout assigned California territory and occasionally to Rosenbauer manufacturing facilities across the Midwest.
  • $60,000 - $200,000 annually possible
  • Base pay is an hourly rate of $17.90/hr, plus commissions pursuant to company commission plan with the large majority of earnings expected to be from commissions. Fire apparatus are often sold and built over a 1-3 year period. Possible to start with a pipeline of already-sold apparatus with partial commission eligibility.

About Us

Burton's Fire, Inc., established in 1991 by Ken and John Burton, has extensive experience in fire truck manufacturing and repair through their work at Van Pelt Fire Trucks, later acquired by FMC. In 2015, the company became the authorized dealer for Rosenbauer Fire Apparatus in Northern California and Hawaii. Burton's Fire specializes in the sale of custom-built Rosenbauer apparatus, service and repair on all makes and models, chassis change-overs, refurbishes, wreck repairs, pump overhauls, electrical work, and aerial services. We offer both in house service and mobile repairs.
