Slitting Operator

Monday-Friday 7am-3pm $25.00 per hour We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Slitting Operator to operate, monitor, and maintain slitting line equipment to ensure high-quality output. This position is essential to meeting production targets while maintaining strong safety, quality, and operational standards. High School Diploma or GED required. Must have slitting experience. 5-10 years of experience in manufacturing environment as a machine operator or helper. 2-4 years of specific machine operator experience. Preferred: Experience working within PSA (pressure-sensitive adhesive) or tape industry.

Skills & Physical Requirements Basic reading and math comprehension. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to stand, walk, climb, balance, kneel, crouch for 12 hour shifts

Responsibilities Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and product specifications. Monitor process variables to ensure all products meet required performance and quality standards. Load raw materials and unload finished goods according to bill of materials and product specifications. Maintain accurate production records and equipment logs. Meet daily output goals by adhering to production schedules. Participate in operator-led preventive maintenance to ensure consistent machine performance. Quality Assurance Conduct in-line quality checks using approved measuring devices. Adjust machine settings as needed to resolve quality concerns and maintain efficiency. Report any equipment or measuring device malfunctions that may affect product quality. Continuous Improvement & Leadership Collaborate with the Slitting Manager to improve product settings, boost efficiency, and reduce scrap. Support team members and serve as machine lead when required. Train Slitting Helpers to ensure proper workflow and safety compliance. Safety & Housekeeping Follow all health, safety, and housekeeping guidelines. Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times. Maintain a clean and organized work area with clear walkways and properly stored materials.
