Work Environment

This position operates remotely, allowing you to work flexibly while remaining connected to a dynamic and collaborative team. Our community health clinic serves various demographics, focusing on those facing barriers to care. You will utilize telehealth technologies and other digital tools to maintain effective communication and service delivery while adhering to regulatory standards and ethical guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Directly work with assigned clients suffering from major mental illnesses and severe emotional disorders, providing evidence-based therapeutic interventions both online and in the community.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments and screenings to accurately determine each client’s needs and collaborate on individualized care plans.
• Coordinate integrated care among various service providers, exchanging vital information to ensure holistic support for each client.
• Engage in crisis intervention and provide immediate support to clients in distress, ensuring their safety and well-being.
• Maintain meticulous records, ensuring the timely completion of treatment plans and progress notes, as well as data submission for reporting purposes.
• Facilitate group and family therapy sessions, fostering an inclusive and supportive environment for shared recovery experiences.
• Monitor client progress, conducting follow-ups and reassessments to ensure evolving needs are met.
• Participate in professional development and team meetings to enhance service delivery and improve agency standards.
• Provide on-call support as needed, demonstrating flexibility and commitment to client care outside of regular hours.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with a diverse array of clients who are experiencing significant mental health challenges. This includes individuals facing substance abuse issues, trauma-related disorders, and other severe emotional disturbances. Our patient population often includes marginalized and underserved groups, emphasizing the importance of cultural competency and empathy in every interaction.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) credential in California.
• A bachelor’s degree in Social Work or a related field is required; an MSW is preferred but not mandatory.
• A minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience in a mental health setting working with diverse populations.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish trust and rapport with clients and colleagues alike.
• In-depth understanding of evidence-based practices in mental health therapy.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in community health environments or non-profit organizations focused on mental health and substance abuse.
• Familiarity with telehealth platforms or experience providing remote services during COVID-19 and beyond.
• Participation in interdisciplinary teams and sound knowledge of integrated care principles.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 70,000 to 85,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
