As an Access Control Officer at a government location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor access, and maintain a professional presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $16.97 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon06:00 AM - 02:00 PMTue06:00 AM - 02:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to airport personnel, visitors, contractors, and other authorized individuals while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and emergency response activities. Monitor access points, verify credentials, and control entry and exit in accordance with established airport and government facility policies. Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, escalating concerns through appropriate channels. Maintain accurate access-control logs, visitor records, and incident documentation as required by site procedures. Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, surrounding areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity. Minimum Requirements: Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred. CPR/First Aid is preferred. A Guard Card/License is preferred. CPR Certification is preferred. Customer Service Experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
