This is a full-time, 12-month, benefits-eligible position.Duties & Responsibilities• Maintain and grow program enrollment.• Manage budget for payroll and supply expenses.• Follow standard operating procedures to ensure high quality programs.• Hire, train, and mentor program staff.• Provide performance feedback and coaching to direct reports.• Model and instill appropriate child guidance and classroom management strategies.• Model and instill Great Hearts 9 Core Virtues (responsibility, perseverance, integrity, honesty, courage, citizenship, humility, friendship, wisdom).• Oversee implementation of provided classical curriculum.• Cultivate relationships with academy employees, students, and parents.• Represent programs at campus events, meetings, etc.• Utilize provided marketing strategies.• Follow protocols for responding to and documenting student behavior and significant events.• Escalate incident reports and significant events to Regional Manager.• Adhere to Great Hearts policies, procedures, and business initiatives.• Attend regular meetings at the Home Office and other local business locations.• Substitute in classroom as needed.• Other duties as assignedQualifications, Competencies & StrengthsThe successful candidate will be a principled, professional leader with an independent work ethic and a heart of service to others. They must demonstrate sound business judgment and wisdom in dealing with people. They will possess requisite experience in the field of liberal arts and/or education, as well as experience working with children and children’s programming. Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred. Must be at least 21 years of age. Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) preferred.Additional RequirementsCPR/First Aid certification required upon hire.Successful completion of fingerprinting and background check with Louisiana State Police is required.Physical functions: Requires but is not limited to standing, sitting, repetitious hand and body movements, bending, squatting, and reaching.
