Front Desk Dental Receptionist (Leadership Growth Opportunity)

Location: Plano, TX
Job Type: Full-Time

About the Position

Our modern, patient-focused general dental practice is seeking an experienced Front Desk Dental Receptionist who is friendly, organized, efficient, and passionate about delivering exceptional customer service.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with patients, learns new software quickly, and is interested in growing into a future leadership role.

Requirements

• Minimum 1-2 years of dental front office experience required.
• Open Dental Software experience is Required
• Flex Dental experience is a strong plus.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Professional, positive, and compassionate with patients.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Comfortable learning new technology and software quickly.
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and check in patients with a warm, professional attitude.
• Check patients out and collect payments.
• Verify dental insurance benefits and explain coverage.
• Present treatment plans and discuss financial arrangements.
• Assist patients with third-party financing options (CareCredit and other financing programs).
• Schedule appointments and manage the daily schedule efficiently.
• Answer multi-line phones and respond promptly to patient inquiries.
• Maintain accurate patient records in Open Dental.
• Work closely with the doctor and clinical team to ensure an outstanding patient experience.
• Help keep the front office organized, efficient, and running smoothly.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Open Dental software.
• Experience with Flex Dental is preferred.
• Knowledge of dental insurance, treatment planning, and patient financing.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus but not required.
