Material Handler

Job Title: Material Handler Job Description
This position requires proficiency in operating both sit-down and stand-up forklifts. The primary responsibility is to move staged goods and pallets, handle product put-away, load and unload products from trucks, and assist in distributing products to various departments as needed. While the majority of the time will be spent on a forklift, some tasks may require manual handling.
Responsibilities

• Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to move goods and pallets.
• Conduct product put-away after staging.
• Load and unload products from trucks.
• Distribute products to various departments within the facility.
• Occasionally perform manual handling tasks as needed.

Essential Skills

• Proven experience in operating sit-down and stand-up forklifts.
• Previous forklift certification and warehouse or distribution experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Dependable attendance and positive work ethic.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with RF scanners.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

As a permanent employee, you will receive $25,000 in equity that vests over four years. This includes 25% after the first year, followed by 6.25% every quarter, providing a faster accumulation of equity after the first year.
Work Environment
The work environment is a warehouse and distribution setting, with shifts available as follows: Shift B from 6am to 6:30pm Wednesday to Saturday; Shift C from 6pm to 6:30am Sunday to Wednesday; Shift D from 6pm to 6:30am Wednesday to Sunday. Candidates will primarily work in the warehousing side of the facility.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Southaven, MS.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.50 - $28.50/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
