What You'll Do

• Perform diagnostic echocardiograms on adult and pediatric patients, including 2D, M-mode, and Doppler exams.
• Coordinate with hospital departments for scheduling, patient transport, and billing processes.
• Assist cardiologists during exams by preparing and measuring M-modes and exchanging pertinent information.
• Respond to patient needs during procedures and report any changes promptly.
• Maintain supply inventory, keep exam rooms clean, and ensure equipment quality control.
• Participate in departmental quality improvement activities and stay current with advancements in echocardiography.
• Support the department with on-call coverage for emergency exams as needed.

What You Need Required:

• Valid ARDMS/CCI registration or registry eligibility; New Mexico Echo Sonographer license
• BLS certification through American Heart Association
• Minimum of 2 years' experience performing echocardiograms
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Manual dexterity for performing cardiac ultrasounds

Preferred:

• Allied health education background in diagnostic medical sonography, radiologic technology, respiratory therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, or nursing
