Payroll Manager

The Payroll Manager ensures accurate payroll processing, compliance with tax, benefit, and deduction regulations, and maintains employee records. This role includes recruiting, training, and developing staff while providing leadership and guidance on payroll-related matters. Responsibilities also include preparing reports, managing year‑end processes, and addressing employee inquiries to foster a positive work environment. Benefits Competitive compensation package: $84,000–$104,000 Vacation: minimum of two weeks Sick days: 5 days Holidays: 12 days; 8 standard and 4 floating Other benefits: 401(k) retirement plan, medical, dental and vision, life insurance, short‑term disability, voluntary long‑term disability Key Responsibilities Review employee time records for accurate reporting and schedule compliance Process adjustments, bonuses, and other payments as needed Prepare necessary reports for management and compliance purposes Ensure all benefits, tax and other required deductions are properly implemented and processed Manage employee and payroll files Manage the year‑end statement process, including revisions Respond to employee and manager inquiries as required Recruit, select, develop, manage, motivate, coach, and mentor assigned employees; provide guidance and direction on problems and issues; delegate work assignments considering employee skills and development needs Maintain confidentiality of all information Perform other duties as required Qualifications High school diploma/GED; Bachelor's degree preferred Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed Other duties as required Subject to DOT drug testing and physical if applicable.
