Compensation $140,000 - $160,000 / year Department Operations Location New York Description Upway is a fast growing startup building the largest marketplace for refurbished e‑bikes globally. We have refurbished over 100,000 e‑bikes in just three years and are planning to refurbish 1 million by 2030. Upway's mission is to make e‑mobility accessible to a wide range of people. Our goal is to build the largest and highest quality e‑bike range by sourcing and reconditioning the best e‑bikes. What we are looking for We are looking for our SMB Sales Lead to lead the B2B Sourcing team in the US. Your mission is central to Upway’s growth: building, leading and enabling the team that will secure high‑quality second‑hand e‑bikes from professional partners so we can continuously expand and renew the offering available on our platform. You will play a pivotal role in engaging and onboarding key accounts, including major chains and buying groups across the whole country. Together with your team, you will collaborate closely with a diverse network of retail partners and take ownership of sourcing the best e‑bikes at the most competitive prices. Your missions Lead the B2B sourcing team: Build, coach and lead a high‑performing B2B sourcing team. Unlock and develop key retail partners and buying groups: Effective negotiation and long‑term partnership building, fostering strong commercial relationships that drive sustainable growth. Define the B2B sourcing strategy: Develop a comprehensive B2B strategy for the US market in terms of bike shop portfolio management, partner tiering and allocation, field cadence, etc. Own and optimize team performance: Track and improve key KPIs such as bikes sourced, portfolio growth and activity rate. Deploy new services: Lead deployment of new opportunities like pickup, drop‑off, maintenance and co‑design partner communications. Improve sales operations: Design and implement scalable sales processes, CRM workflows, and operational frameworks. What you will need B2B Experience : 7+ years in B2B Sales/Business Development. Experience in the cycling industry is a plus; we value "Sales DNA" (FMCG, SaaS, Field Sales) above all else. Leadership : 5+ years of management experience with a proven track record in leading teams and/or building sales structures from the ground up. Strategic Mindset : Ability to structure and prioritize the efforts of your teams based on both quantitative and qualitative insights to deliver expected results with maximum efficiency. Road Warrior : Energized by fieldwork, willing to travel 60‑80% of the time across the US. Languages : Native level in English, Spanish is a plus.
