Administrative Assistant

The Show Place Arena, a facility of the M-NCPPC Prince George's County Parks and Recreation Department, is seeking a part-time year-round Administrative Assistant to work up to 25 hours per week. The candidate must possess strong administrative skills, including excellent oral and written communication, organization, time management, and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel). The preferred candidate should also possess a strong work ethic, be self-motivated, take the initiative, be detail-oriented, be a team player, balance multiple requests, and manage competing deadlines for a varied work program.

Examples of Important Duties:

• Answering and directing telephone calls to our internal and external customers
• Creating and finalizing documents, i.e., correspondence, memos, data entry in Excel spreadsheets, creating and tracking various reports, filing and archiving files, etc.
• Other general administrative duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma
• Experience working in the administrative field
• Excellent computer skills, MS Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, TEAMS)

The pay rate for this position is $16-$20 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
