Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients’ mental health status through virtual consultations and interviews.

• Develop and implement tailored therapy plans utilizing evidence-based approaches to address issues such as anxiety, depression, and substance use disorders.

• Engage in regular therapeutic sessions with clients, facilitating discussions and providing tools and strategies to help them manage their mental health effectively.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR) in compliance with HIPAA regulations and organizational standards.

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists and social workers, to ensure a comprehensive approach to each client’s care.

• Provide referrals to specialized services when necessary, supporting clients in accessing additional resources they may need.

• Participate in regular team meetings to review client cases and share insights for ongoing improvements in care delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work primarily with adults facing a range of mental health challenges. The patient population includes individuals dealing with anxiety disorders, mood disorders, substance abuse issues, and more. You will practice cultural competence, adapting your approach to suit the diverse backgrounds and specific needs of each client, ensuring that everyone receives personalized and effective care.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of New York.

• A minimum of four (4) years of experience providing mental health counseling.

• Comprehensive understanding of mental health disorders and familiarity with evidence-based treatment methods.

• Proven ability to provide both individual and group therapy, with an emphasis on culturally inclusive practices.

• Exceptional crisis intervention skills, maintaining composure during challenging circumstances.

• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, fostering rapport with a diverse client base.

• Proficiency in EHR systems and adeptness with various computer applications.

• A commitment to upholding professional ethics, confidentiality, and appropriate boundaries.

Compensation and Benefits\n
