Cardiovascular Interventional Technologist II - (Full-Time, 10-Hour Day Shifts)

Job Overview Cardiovascular Interventional Technologist (CIT II) – Level II. Responsible for operating radiographic technical equipment during cardiovascular, neurovascular, and angiographic procedures across multiple services, including adult cardiovascular, pediatric cardiovascular, neurovascular interventional radiology, vascular, and electrophysiology (device implant and full). Works in Stanford Health Care’s Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory, one of the nation’s busiest and most advanced structural heart programs. Responsibilities Set exposure parameters on fixed and mobile angiography equipment. Enter patient demographics and procedural data into imaging equipment. Correctly archive images in CVIS or PACs. Operate and troubleshoot ancillary equipment (e.g., power supplies, image intensifiers). Provide scrub assistance during procedures. Maintain cleanliness of procedural area and equipment. Verify and complete all documentation in RIS, EPIC, and QSight inventory. Utilize time efficiently, prioritize work, and request reassignment when available. Assist in setting up supplies, measurements, and archives for procedures. Education & Qualifications High School Diploma or GED equivalent (Bachelor’s degree preferred). Experience 1 to 3 years of progressively responsible cardiovascular experience directly related to the position. Proficiency in all services after competency period. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Understanding of radiation principles and safety requirements for imaging techniques. Knowledge of supplies, equipment functions, and procedural indications for cardiovascular, neurovascular, and electrophysiology procedures. Ability to explain basic procedure information to appropriate audiences. Strong communication skills and ability to assess patient age needs. Capability to build trusting relationships with colleagues and patients with coaching. Exemplification of patient‑care principles, including clear and respectful communication.
