Associate Director, Paid Social

Own the Social function for a book of clients and assist in leading the function for the region Develop overall paid media strategy and grow client business through additional Social channels Ensure team execution meets or exceeds client expectations Directly manage Social Supervisors and oversee holistic account team members Determine efficient use of Social resources Lead and manage Social team members on client teams Identify training and development needs and build training materials Develop processes, methodologies, best practices, and frameworks Consult with client teams on best practices and new approaches Lead hiring for Social team members Oversee onboarding of new clients within the office location Ensure integration with other functional teams Expand paid media services based on client KPIs Identify and test new channels and products, share results, and support business development pitches Lead new-hire Social training and onboarding, including coordination with HR Develop, update, and evaluate training, certification exams, and onboarding processes Lead adoption of new processes and strategies across client teams Identify and pilot innovative processes, strategies, frameworks, management approaches, and optimization techniques Coordinate with Content and Analytics functional leads on integration opportunities Track alpha/beta tests, capture learnings, and share insights across client teams Lead development of points of view related to new products and enhancements Evaluate new channels and products and recommend client tests Maintain repositories of channel, product, testing, and partner information Support product marketing and project-manage development and testing of Social products and services Serve as main point of contact for technology partners and social networks Evaluate technology providers, develop proposals, and update technology comparisons Escalate technology and engine issues and keep client teams informed Oversee Insertion Order creation and manage logins and compliance Coordinate provider presentations, QBRs, and related certifications Refine team insights and actions to demonstrate understanding of client goals Lead day-to-day client communications Partner with strategy/planning, Digital Activation, Search, Programmatic Video/Display, media, and marketing sciences teams Requirements Bachelor’s degree or relevant post-secondary education, training, or equivalent experience 5+ years business experience, including hands-on-keyboard building and/or managing accounts in paid social marketing and/or interactive advertising Deep understanding of social performance campaigns and activation Ability to develop cross-channel performance strategies across brand awareness, consideration, and conversion objectives Passion for advertising and establishing yourself as a thought leader within the office Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and partner updates General knowledge of direct and brand marketing principles and strategies Deep understanding of the interactive marketing landscape Polished presentation, communication, and analytical skills Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects at once Online media sales and/or interactive ad agency experience Ability to distinguish features from benefits and sell and deliver value Proactive self-starter Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in developing and executing paid social media strategies, managing client relationships, and leading team training and development.
