POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Residential Technician supports the Residential Tech Manager with evening and overnight residential operations, client supervision, facility safety, documentation, transportation, and completion of assigned duties. This position works directly with clients throughout the shift and helps ensure that the residential environment remains safe, structured, therapeutic, clean, and organized. The Residential Technician observes and supervises clients while assisting them with evening schedules, groups, meals, medication times, nightly routines, transportation, and overnight needs. The Residential Technician is responsible for completing required rounds, wellness checks, searches, documentation, facility tasks, and other duties assigned by the Residential Tech Manager or facility leadership. Any safety concerns, client concerns, policy violations, confidentiality concerns, maintenance issues, or environmental hazards must be reported immediately to the Residential Tech Manager, Administrator, or appropriate leadership.

KEY RESPONSBILITIES:

Observe and supervise clients while assisting with evening schedules, nightly routines, and overnight responsibilities Complete hourly rounds of all client housing areas and document findings as required Conduct assigned temperature checks, wellness checks, cabin checks and inspections of client living areas Supervise medication times and ensure medication distribution follows facility procedures Supervise scheduled groups, activities, recreation, meals, and transportation movements as assigned Search newly admitted clients and their belongings, and complete the required personal property inventory documentation Transport clients and accompany them on approved trips off-site as needed Enter all required documentation and data into the Electronic Medical Record before the end of the shift Assist with meal service and monitor dining areas during scheduled meal times Ensure facilities vehicles are clean, fueled, and ready for transportation needs Maintain cleanliness and organization of administrative areas, common areas, the break room, kitchen, storage areas, cabinets and client living spaces Assist with trash removal, linen distribution and collection, laundry, cabin organization, and general facility upkeep Report faulty equipment, repair needs, maintenance concerns, safety issues, or environmental hazards promptly Assist with crisis intervention according to CPI and facility protocols while protecting client rights, dignity, confidentiality, and privacy and maintaining professional conduct

Required to stand and walk for long periods of time Required to reach with hands and arms Required to frequently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds, and rarely lift the max of up to 75 lbs.
