If you’re ready to grow and make an impact, we’d love to be on your team.As an Applications Engineer, you will support our sales team by working closely with customers, account managers, engineering teams, and manufacturer partners to deliver solutions for challenging applications. This role combines technical application engineering, customer support, troubleshooting, and solution development to help provide reliable and practical flow control, instrumentation, and overpressure protection solutions for industrial applications.How you’ll make an impact:Support customers and account managers in identifying and developing flow control and process automation solutionsParticipate in technical discovery discussions to understand customer applications, operating conditions, process constraints, reliability concerns, and project requirementsSize and select pressure relief devices, automated valves, control valves, regulators, solenoids, and process instrumentationPrepare technical proposals around industry standards and best practicesUnderstand and consider the commercial implications of different technical solutionsWork with inside and outside sales teams to implement world-class technology solutionsTeach concepts from the basics of pressure and temperature to complex process control solutionsProvide technical support for the following products/technologies: Pressure/Temperature/Level/Flow Measurement; Pressure Management; Flow Control; Instrument IsolationTroubleshoot application, installation, startup, and operational issues in industrial environmentsDevelop Bills of Materials based on customer requirementsUnderstand customer Process Safety Management programs and make suggestions in accordance with industry standards, ASME code, and API recommendationsDocument best practices and knowledge share with colleaguesEstablish rapport with strategic customers for technical consultative sellingSkills you’ll need:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Petroleum, Engineering Technology) or equivalent industry experienceStrong technical aptitude with process control, flow control, and industrial process applicationsStrong communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholdersHigh learning agility and adaptability in a fast-paced environmentPositive attitude/strong team playerProficiency with Microsoft Office SuiteHere’s what will set you apart:3+ years of Flow Control or Instrumentation industry experienceExperience in industrial applications, process automation, instrumentation, valve automation, or application engineeringExperience with control valve sizing and selectionKnowledge of manufacturers and technologies such as Valmet, Rotork, Clark Reliance, Emerson, Flowserve, Masoneilan, or similar solutionsThe Rewards:Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP)401(K) MatchCompetitive PayMedical, Dental, and Vision Insurance PackageEmployer Paid Life InsurancePaid Time Off and Holiday PayCareer Development OpportunitiesAbout AWCAs employee-owners, we strive to do more than just complete tasks; we seek to develop fulfilling careers by pushing ourselves and questioning the status quo.
