Job Description

Join a global leader in welding, cutting, and joining solutions as a Machinist on the weekend shift. You will be responsible for performing multiple setups per shift, machining various components including weldments, block work, flame/grind plates, and pins with exceptional quality.

Responsibilities

• Independently set-up and operate 5 axis CNC machine to machine parts per print efficiently and accurately.
• Inspect work for conformance to specifications.
• Maintain minimal re-work or scrap.
• Safely operate forklifts and overhead cranes.
• Maintain satisfactory attendance and punctuality.
• Keep work area clean and organized.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

• Minimum 5-7 years experience as a machinist.
• Experience setting up and operating HAAS UMC.
• High attention to detail and quality.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Understanding basic GD&T call-outs.
• Ability to accurately use standard machinist measuring tools.

• Knowledge of M and G-code programming is a plus.
• Experience with grinding and milling.
• Must work well under pressure.
• Excellent team player with organizational and time management skills.

Work Environment

The shop is climate controlled ensuring comfort during all seasons. Employees work on the weekend shift for 12-hour shifts, Friday through Sunday. The dress code includes jeans and steel toes, with safety glasses and ear protection provided. Employees benefit from a 401K match and are compensated for 40 hours while working 36 hours weekly.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bettendorf, IA.

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Bettendorf,IA.
