What You'll Do

• Provide high-quality patient care in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) for diverse patient populations including respiratory failure, sepsis, stroke, DKA, and post-cardiac procedures
• Manage and monitor critically ill patients, utilizing advanced skills such as CVL management, arterial lines, and medication titration
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including hospitalists, RT, PT, ST, and resource nurses to coordinate patient care
• Demonstrate proficiency in Meditech Expanse EMR and IV pump management
• Support patient safety and comfort through proper device management, medication administration, and documentation
• Maintain compliance with hospital protocols, including passing an EKG competency exam prior to start

What You Need

• Valid and current RN license in Louisiana or eligible for licensure
• Minimum of 2 years of acute care RN experience, with ICU or cardiac experience preferred
• Current BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
• Strong clinical skills including IV management, medication titration, and patient assessment
• Ability to pass EKG competency exam and work independently and as part of a team
