Position Overview Summit Point Roofing is looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant / Project Accountant to join our growing accounting team in Ada, MI. This role is ideal for someone who wants more than basic data entry and is ready to assist with AP, AR, reconciliations, job costing, project billing, and reporting. You will work directly with the Accounting Manager and have the opportunity to take on more responsibility as the company continues to grow. Core Responsibilities Assist the Accounting Manager with month-end and year-end close processes Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions Process and reconcile subcontractor invoices, purchase orders, and job cost entries Prepare and post journal entries with appropriate supporting documentation Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger account reconciliations Assist with preparation of financial statements and internal management reports Track project costs and work closely with project managers to ensure accurate job costing Support preparation of AIA billing and contractor payment applications Assist with sales tax reporting and compliance Help prepare documentation for audits and year-end tax filings Identify and recommend process improvements to increase efficiency Requirements 2–5 years of accounting/bookkeeping experience AP/AR experience Strong Microsoft Excel skills High attention to detail and strong organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities Preferred AIA billing Line waivers Construction-specific accounting software Job costing and project-based accounting Compensation & Benefits Compensation Range: $70K to 85K Health, Dental & Vision Insurance 401(k) with Company Matching Paid Time Off and Holidays Opportunities for career growth as the company expands Schedule: Monday–Friday, Day Shift Summit Point Roofing is an equal opportunity employer.
