About The Position

At Veeam, our systems engineers work closely with sales to help promote our product offerings to our partners, resellers, and end-users. Grow with Veeam while gaining valuable experience in one of the hottest areas of today's IT. These positions require significant travel within the region you are responsible for.

Location: Cologne / Dortmund / Dsseldorf Area

Your Tasks

• Conducting presentations and demonstrations at live and virtual customer meetings
• Implementing and managing POCs until technical completion
• Supporting lead generation activities such as events, webinars, user groups, etc.
• Collaborating with the customer/partner to define and implement business goals into technical requirements
• Independently consulting with customers to provide technical expertise on data protection
• Working closely with the sales department to acquire new partners and customers
• Working closely with product management to obtain customer feedback
• Supporting customers pre-sales in evaluating Veeam software

What You Bring

• Proven experience in solution sales and/or technical pre-sales preferred
• Industry experience with data protection technologies
• Industry experience in storage, network, and/or cloud technologies is highly desirable
• Experience with monitoring tools and frameworks
• Proven experience with virtualization technologies
• Ability to work independently with limited instructions in a fast-paced environment; energetic, motivated personality capable of quickly adapting to new technologies
• Ability to adapt to changing tasks and responsibilities
• VMCE certification would be beneficial - employees have the opportunity to acquire VMCE and VMCA once they have taken up the position.
• Willingness to travel

• Provision of software solutions in complex environments
• In-depth understanding of Veeam and/or similar technologies
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; you must be able to present in front of groups in English and German
• Industry-relevant professional certifications are desirable
