Project Coordinator (Hybrid Schedule After Training) – Auburn Hills, MIFull-Time | Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PMHybrid Schedule: In-Office Three Days | Remote Two DaysPosition OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Project Coordinator to join our team at our Auburn Hills branch location. This hybrid role plays a key part in ensuring the seamless execution of customer orders from contract through final resolution.The Project Coordinator partners closely with sales teams, order fulfillment teams, vendors, and third-party providers to deliver an exceptional customer experience. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys problem-solving, and values teamwork.Core ResponsibilitiesServe as a primary point of contact for internal and external customersReview and process orders submitted by the sales teamPurchase products from vendors and corporate manufacturing facilitiesTrack and manage key order dates, milestones, and activitiesSchedule and release completed products for fulfillmentCoordinate value-add services and pre-finishing processesArrange delivery and/or installation of customer ordersCollect customer payments when applicable following delivery or installationResolve issues related to shortages, damages, or service needsProcess factory credits and follow up on pending or denied creditsSupport product inquiries and provide guidance on offeringsAssist with inventory activities and discrepancy resolutionContribute to continuous improvement initiativesRetail Segment (if applicable)Coordinate and manage installation permitsVerify and collect Lead Safe Install documentationSchedule product installations and recovery appointmentsApprove and process subcontractor installation paymentsTrade Segment (if applicable)Assist with quoting and bidding for projectsManage orders within OMS, including scheduling and communication of ship datesCoordinate delivery logistics with customers and contractorsCommunicate regularly with internal and external stakeholders to ensure order accuracy and timelinessQualificationsEducation & ExperienceHigh School Diploma or GED requiredAssociate degree or technical certification preferred0–2 years of experience in customer service or general business preferredConstruction, window/door, or building materials knowledge is a plus (not required)Skills & CompetenciesStrong customer service and communication skills (phone, email, and in-person)Detail-oriented with strong follow-throughAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentStrong problem-solving and critical thinking skillsCollaborative team player with a proactive mindsetProficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)Ability to quickly learn internal systems and softwareProfessional AttributesSelf-motivated and committed to continuous learningStrong organizational and time management skillsAbility to build trust with customers and team membersProfessional and polished communication and appearanceAbility to handle conflict resolution effectivelyPhysical & Work EnvironmentPrimarily office-based with occasional entry into warehouse areasRegular standing, walking, typing, and communicationOccasional lifting (up to 10 lbs.)Moderate noise level typical of office environmentsWhy Join Us?Competitive hourly payHybrid work flexibilityOpportunity to grow within a collaborative and customer-driven teamExposure to cross-functional business operationsApply today to bring your coordination skills and attention to detail to a team that values quality, service, and continuous improvement.
