About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director to serve as its chief executive officer, providing strategic leadership and advancing the organization's priorities. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing a broad portfolio that includes governance, legislative affairs, strategic planning, institutional oversight, board relations, communications, finance, operations, and administration. This role involves working closely with a variety of stakeholders, including Regents, institutional presidents, senior university leaders, legislators, state agencies, and other partners, to ensure the alignment of institutional priorities, state interests, and the organization's objectives. Candidates for the Executive Director position at the company should have an earned bachelor's degree, with an advanced degree preferred, and a background that demonstrates executive leadership, judgment, relationship-building, and administrative capabilities. The role requires a deep understanding of contemporary trends in higher education, the ability to build relationships across campus constituencies, and the knowledge to speak on higher education issues with authority. The ideal candidate will be an exceptional communicator, capable of serving as a trusted voice in the higher education sector, and will be adept at operating at the intersection of governance, public policy, and state government. Experience in the public sector and a proven track record of advancing strategic objectives in a complex and highly visible environment are essential.
