Position Overview Security Officer – Healthcare Center (Bethpage, NY). As an unarmed patrol officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support access awareness while delivering outstanding customer service and communication. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $22.21 / Hour Job Schedule: Mon: 06:30 AM – 02:00 PM Tue: 06:30 AM – 02:00 PM Wed: 06:30 AM – 02:00 PM Thu: 06:30 AM – 02:00 PM Fri: 07:30 AM – 01:00 PM What You’ll Do Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and vendors by following site‑specific procedures and assisting with access control. Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations calmly and with problem‑solving skills, and document observations and actions taken per site protocols. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location— including entrances, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter spaces—to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns. Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials when required, and report suspicious behavior, maintenance issues, or policy violations to the appropriate contact. Support emergency response activities by providing directions, crowd management, and communication during medical, fire, and other site incidents as outlined by post orders. Minimum Requirements At least 1 year of security‑related experience. 21 years of age or older. Customer service experience is preferred. Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Access control and/or badge experience is preferred. At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. High school diploma or equivalent. Background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Consideration of qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. Drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements subject to state and/or local laws and regulations. Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.
