AP/AR Specialist

Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable Specialist Location: Torrance, CA Job Type: Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM Pay: $22-$25/hour, depending on experience, with opportunity for a pay increase based on performance. About the Opportunity A well-established manufacturing and distribution company is seeking a reliable and detail‑oriented Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable Specialist to join its growing accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a few years of accounting experience who is looking to grow their career in a stable organization with long‑term potential. The selected candidate will work closely with the Staff Accountant and support the day‑to‑day accounting operations while gaining exposure to additional accounting responsibilities. Responsibilities Process accounts payable invoices accurately and efficiently Generate customer invoices and manage accounts receivable collections Apply customer payments and reconcile outstanding balances Prepare and post journal entries Reconcile vendor statements and resolve payment discrepancies Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation Assist with month‑end closing activities Communicate with vendors and customers regarding payment inquiries Support the accounting team with administrative and financial reporting tasks Perform additional accounting duties as assigned Qualifications 2+ years of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, or general accounting experience Experience preparing journal entries Understanding of basic accounting principles Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Experience with any accounting or ERP software is a plus, but not required Manufacturing, distribution, or supply chain industry experience is preferred What We Offer Temp‑to‑hire opportunity with long‑term career potential Competitive hourly pay Opportunity for performance‑based pay increases Stable Monday‑Friday schedule with no weekends Collaborative and supportive accounting team Immediate hiring process Interview Process Initial video interview with the hiring manager Final interview with the Controller If you're looking to join a growing organization where your accounting skills can continue to develop, we'd love to hear from you. #J-18808-Ljbffr
