Radiology Technologist

Full Time Radiology Technologist delivers high-quality diagnostic imaging in a patient-focused setting, ensuring accurate diagnoses and exceptional care. The role supports a multidisciplinary team while maintaining safety and compliance with radiation standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform high-quality diagnostic radiographic imaging procedures per physician orders
• Explain procedures and address patient questions before exams
• Position patients accurately to obtain optimal diagnostic images
• Operate radiology equipment safely and efficiently following established protocols
• Ensure compliance with radiation safety standards and ALARA principles
• Review images for quality and accuracy before submission to the interpreting physician
• Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation in the electronic medical record
• Monitor patient condition during imaging and respond to needs
• Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other professionals to coordinate care
• Maintain imaging equipment and report maintenance or repair needs promptly
• Adhere to hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and infection prevention protocols
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care throughout every interaction

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• Current ARRT certification required
• Current Kansas Radiologic Technologist licensure or eligibility for licensure
• Current BLS certification
• Strong knowledge of diagnostic imaging procedures and radiation safety practices
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team

Preferred Skills:

• Hospital-based radiology experience
• Experience with digital radiography and PACS systems
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to diagnostic image quality
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment
