Business Analyst
NRI
We're looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join a major system modernization initiative - replacing legacy pension administration technology with a modern, Azure-hosted platform.
Responsibilities- Engage with business units to understand operational workflows, pain points, and improvement opportunities
- Interface with technical resources to understand and translate technical requirements
- Document current-state processes using structured methods such as process maps, swimlane diagrams, and workflow charts
- Facilitate discussions to define future-state processes aligned with organizational goals
- Translate business needs into detailed functional requirements, acceptance criteria, and Azure DevOps work items/user stories
- Ensure requirements are complete, consistent, testable, and aligned with business priorities
- Collaborate with product owners, developers, and stakeholders to refine and validate requirements
- Develop test plans, test scripts, and step-by-step testing instructions for functional and user acceptance testing
- Execute functional testing of user stories in Development and Test environments to validate solution accuracy and readiness
- Document defects, track resolution progress, and verify fixes
- Coordinate, support, or lead user acceptance testing (UAT) sessions with business stakeholders
- Serve as a liaison between business units and technical teams to ensure shared understanding and alignment
- Communicate project updates, risks, and issues clearly and proactively
- Support change management activities by contributing to training materials, documentation, and user guidance
