Volunteer Opportunity: Creative & Cooking Companion ( )

We are seeking a friendly and hands‑on volunteer to provide companionship to an older adult living in Federal Way. This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys creativity, everyday activities, and building warm one‑to‑one connections.

About the Participant

  • Alert and oriented
  • Enjoys staying active and engaged
  • Interests include:
    • Arts and crafts
    • Shopping outings
    • Cooking and shared meal preparation
  • Values companionship and doing activities together rather than sitting alone

Volunteer Role

  • Provide in‑person companionship
  • Participate in crafts or creative projects together
  • Assist with simple cooking or baking activities
  • Accompany on light shopping trips when appropriate
  • Support social engagement and emotional well‑being

Volunteer Preferences

  • Enjoys crafts, cooking, and everyday activities
  • Patient, dependable, and friendly
