Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, you will be responsible for a range of tasks, including but not limited to:

• Providing individual, couples, and family therapy sessions remotely, utilizing video conferencing technology in a HIPAA-compliant environment.
\n
• Developing personalized treatment plans for clients based on comprehensive assessments, ensuring culturally appropriate strategies that address the unique needs of each individual or family.
\n
• Implementing evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), or Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
\n
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date client records through electronic health record (EHR) software, ensuring compliance with relevant confidentiality and regulatory standards, including HIPAA.
\n
• Executing community outreach efforts to promote mental health awareness and available services, fostering connections within the Grand Junction community.
\n
• Engaging in ongoing professional development and training to enhance therapy skills and techniques.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your practice will focus on serving a diverse client base, including children, adolescents, and adults facing various mental health challenges. You will work closely with individuals and families experiencing issues such as trauma, grief and loss, relationship conflicts, and mental health disorders. An understanding of cultural sensitivities related to mental health will be crucial, as many clients will seek services in both English and Spanish.

Qualifications\n

The following qualifications are required for this role:

• A Master’s Degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Studies, or a related field from an accredited institution.
\n
• Active and unrestricted Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) credential.
\n
• Strong bilingual communication skills (Spanish and English), both spoken and written, to effectively provide therapy to a diverse array of clients.
\n
• At least two years of experience in a mental health setting, particularly working with families, children, and adults.
\n
• Sensitivity and respect for diverse cultural backgrounds and individual family customs.
\n
• A strong ethical framework and adherence to HIPAA and related confidential requirements.
\n
• Proficiency in utilizing EHR software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant digital tools for remote counseling.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, the following experiences will be viewed favorably:

• Specialized training in behavioral health modalities such as CBT, TF-CBT, or EMDR.

• Established areas of specialization, including but not limited to trauma recovery, LGBTQ+ issues, or perinatal mental health.

• Experience working in a community health clinic setting.

Compensation and Benefits\n
