Clinical Laboratory Technologist - Molecular Mirco

Labcorp

Labcorp seeks a Clinical Laboratory Technologist Trainee for its Molecular Micro department in Burlington, NC. The role involves performing molecular testing procedures, operating laboratory instrumentation, and ensuring specimen quality. New graduates are welcome with full training provided.

Responsibilities

Assess specimen acceptability according to established testing criteria
Perform routine and complex technical procedures following standard operating procedures
Monitor, operate and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation for proper functionality
Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents and quality control materials
Perform and document preventative maintenance and quality control procedures

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Biological, or Clinical Laboratory Science
Ability to pass standardized color blindness test
Proficient with computers and laboratory information systems
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
ASCP or AMT certification (preferred)
3+ months clinical laboratory testing experience (preferred)
