Senior Tax ManagerA long-established, nationally ranked regional CPA firm in the Southeast is seeking a Senior Tax Manager for its tax practice to lead client engagements, tax planning and review.Location: Metairie, LAResponsibilitiesSupervise client work to ensure delivery within time, scope and budgetManage engagement and client expectations and lead client meetingsAssess issue materiality and client risk tolerance; present ideas that lead to additional servicesResearch and review work papers for book-to-tax differences and apply tax law to client circumstancesApply tax planning concepts and identify savings and risk-reduction opportunitiesReview research findings, returns and work papers for consistency with firm policy and professional standards (AICPA ethics, Circular 230, §6694)Pursue business development through new and existing contactsQualificationsUndergraduate degree required; Master's preferredCPA required7+ years of tax experienceComprehensive understanding of tax code and rulesExperience preparing returns and researching complex tax issuesStrong interpersonal and analytical skillsWhy this opportunityOn-the-job and industry-specific training, plus technology training each yearEmphasis on healthy work/life balance with competitive compensation and benefits
