Assistant Project Manager – Owner's Representative Location: Minneapolis, MN Job Type: Full Time | On-site An exciting opportunity is available for an Assistant Project Manager to join an Owner's Representative team delivering a large-scale data center commercial fit-out project in Minneapolis. This role offers the opportunity to work within the rapidly growing mission-critical data center sector, supporting the successful delivery of a complex interior fit-out from construction through commissioning and handover. Reporting to the Project Executive, the successful candidate will play a key role in protecting the owner's interests by overseeing quality, schedule, budget, contractor performance, and day-to-day project coordination throughout the construction lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Maintain a full-time on-site presence, monitoring construction progress, workmanship, quality, and compliance with project documents. Coordinate with general contractors, architects, engineers, consultants, and ownership teams to resolve project issues. Monitor project schedules, identify potential delays, and assist with recovery planning. Review pay applications, change orders, RFIs, submittals, and supporting project documentation. Attend Owner Architect Contractor (OAC) meetings and track action items. Prepare daily reports, progress updates, field observations, and project documentation. Assist with budget tracking, forecasting, commissioning activities, punch list management, and project closeout. Monitor overall site safety and ensure construction activities comply with project requirements. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline, or equivalent construction experience. 5+ years of commercial construction project experience. Experience delivering data centers, mission-critical facilities, commercial interior fit‑out projects, or other complex commercial construction projects is highly desirable. Strong understanding of construction means and methods, MEP systems, and interior finishes. Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents. Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project or Primavera P6, and Microsoft Office. Strong communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills. OSHA 30 certification is preferred. Ability to work full‑time on‑site in Minneapolis. Competitive base salary of $90,000 – $110,000 , depending on experience. Opportunity to work on a landmark data center commercial fit‑out project.
