Fall Semester 2026: Lecturer, Educational Theory, Policy, and Administration Applications must be submitted electronically and include a cover letter, curriculum vitae or resume, a concise statement of prior teaching appointment, and the names and contact information for three references. Position Information Recruitment Title: Fall Semester 2026: Lecturer, Educational Theory, Policy & Adm Department: Education Theory, Policy & Adm Position Status: Part Time Posting Number: 25FA0512 Posting Open Date: 02/12/2026 Location Course appointments will be held in the New Brunswick area and may be conducted in hybrid or online formats. Responsibilities Instructors will teach undergraduate or graduate level courses in social and philosophical foundations of education, educational policy, social studies education, and/or educational leadership. Potential courses include history of education, philosophy of education, gender in education, race, ethnicity and inequality, urban education, sociology of education, public school finance, policy analysis, school leadership, and queer issues in schools. Instructors are expected to attend orientation, submit syllabi, respond to student emails, and submit grades according to contract terms. Qualifications Minimum Education: Master’s degree required; Doctorate preferred Doctoral candidates may be considered Current or past experience working in a P‑12 educational setting preferred Demonstrated competence in teaching, curriculum design, and student engagement Preferred Qualifications Experience teaching in higher education Experience in online or hybrid education Experience working with adult learners Compensation Minimum salary is $2,777 per credit. Final salary may be adjusted based on qualifications, experience, departmental or grant funding, market benchmarks, and internal equity.
