Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist in El Dorado County. This position offers work across several locations within the county, primarily ranging from El Dorado Hills to Camino. Enjoy the chance to shape student success throughout the 2026/2027 school year in a region known for its proximity to both Lake Tahoe and Sacramento.
Candidates should be comfortable with travel, as this role has a high potential for being itinerant with assignments that may change during the semester. Onsite presence is required, and prior school-based SLP experience in California, as well as familiarity with SEIS, are highly valued. Supervision opportunities exist for CFs and SLPAs, with flexibility in caseloads from mild to moderate, and the occasional severe case.
Qualifications and Experience Desired:
- Valid CA SLP license (CCC-SLP)
- Strong background in school-based practice (SLP–School)
- Previous work within California schools, SEIS system experience preferred
- Willingness and ability to travel between assignment locations
- Flexible in working with changing assignments throughout the semester
- Comfortable supervising CFs and SLPAs onsite
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language services to students across multiple school sites
- Maintain accurate documentation and utilize SEIS for compliance reporting
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with educational teams
- Adjust caseload management as needed based on location and student population
- Offer mentorship and supervision to clinical fellows and assistants
