ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing comprehensive patient care in the Intensive Care Unit.

Shift Details

Shift Length: 12 hours
Shift Type: Nights
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Holidays: Rotating with core staff

Unit Information

ICU Type: General Medical/Surgical Population
Number of Beds: 8 beds
Patient Ratios: 1:1 to 1:2
Common Diagnoses: Stable CVA post TPA, respiratory failure, manual proning, COPD, CHF, DKA
EMR System: Cerner
Telemedicine: Utilizes a Telemed robot
Respiratory Therapy: Available 24/7
Pharmacy: Available 24/7

Professional Requirements

Experience: Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience required
Certifications:
- ACLS (AHA)
- BLS (AHA)
- NIHSS
Ability to Read and Interpret: EKG strips
Ventilation Experience: Familiarity with Galileo and G5 ventilators

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care and monitoring in a high-acuity environment
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
Participate in patient and family education throughout the care process
Document all patient information in the electronic medical record accurately
Engage in self-scheduling for shifts and extra hours as needed

Orientation and Training

Floor-specific orientation lasting 1 to 2 days with a preceptor
