Intern - Development - Biostatistics
$20 - $55 per hourGilead
Gilead Sciences seeks a biostatistics intern to contribute to statistical methodology development and analysis projects. The role offers hands-on experience in adaptive designs, simulation studies, and statistical software development over 10-12 weeks during summer.
Responsibilities
- Review literature on adaptive designs, covariate adjustment, Bayesian methods, and related topics
- Develop new statistical methodologies or statistical software packages
- Execute and analyze simulation studies
- Prepare statistical reports documenting findings and analyses
- Present internship project results in final PowerPoint presentation
Requirements
- Enrolled full-time in Bachelor's, Master's, MBA, JD, or PhD program at accredited U.S. institution
- Minimum 2.8 cumulative GPA at application and hire
- Independent work authorization in United States; no sponsorship required
- Ability to commit to 10–12 consecutive weeks between May and August
- Willing to work on-site hybrid at Foster City location; relocation may be required
- PhD degree preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools and strong problem-solving abilities preferred
Compensation: $20.00 - $55.00 hourly; benefits include paid holidays, sick time, and housing stipends
