Overview Registered Nurse - Hospice | Sonora, California, United States | Start 09/21/2026 | 13 weeks | $2,591.00-$2,708.00 per week | Guaranteed hours 36 | Day shift, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM | Travel - Temporary Assignment in a short-term acute care hospital setting Key Highlights Weekly pay: $2,591.00-$2,708.00 per week Guaranteed hours: 36 per week Contract duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day shift (8:00 AM–4:30 PM) Start date: 09/21/2026 Work setting: Short Term Acute Care Hospital; travel assignment Responsibilities Coordinate and deliver comprehensive end-of-life care to terminally ill patients in alignment with hospice philosophy and regulatory guidelines Serve as primary case manager for an assigned caseload (typically 12–18 patients), conducting assessments, developing and updating individualized care plans with the interdisciplinary team Provide skilled nursing interventions, including medication management, pain and symptom control, wound care, and patient/family education on disease process and hospice care Offer emotional support and crisis intervention to patients and families; educate on medications, symptom expectations, and care expectations Maintain timely and accurate EMR documentation; ensure compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, and state/federal hospice regulations; participate in interdisciplinary team meetings Participate in on-call rotation and respond promptly to after-hours patient needs Requirements Current Registered Nurse license in California CPR/BLS certification Minimum two years of recent field experience; hospice experience preferred; travel candidates must have hospice experience Valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, reliable vehicle, and eligibility to drive BSN preferred; five years hospice nursing experience preferred Ability to work in a hospice/acute care setting and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team Benefits and Support Guaranteed hours: 36 per week 13-week assignment Travel assignment with ongoing support from the recruiting team Day shift coverage Please note: Pay rates and guaranteed hours are estimates and may vary.
