Shift: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Medical Surgical - Orthopedic Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Nebraska license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - (Midwest) CommonSpirit Health and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - (Midwest) CommonSpirit Health.

• 12 months gap required between for Per Diem at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - (Midwest) CommonSpirit Health and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - (Midwest) CommonSpirit Health.

Additional Details:

An interview may not be available prior to offer. Resume: Each employment history entry must include detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, and whether the facility is a teaching facility. References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you are applying to.

Required Credentials: Pass/fail open-book skills exam required during orientation; must score 90% to pass.

Special Requests: Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. Cannot have worked at any CommonSpirit location within the last 12 months. Cannot be full-time, part-time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI or Dignity. Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility.

Unit Details: Medical/surgical patient population with specialty in post-op cancer intervention (prostatectomy, mastectomy, etc.). Titrates heparin and lidocaine drips; patients may also receive TPN. Central telemetry monitoring; RNs are responsible for noticing rhythm changes.

Shift & Scheduling: Weekend requirement: 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week schedule period; weekend days are Fridays and Saturdays. Rotating holiday requirement. No call.

Floating Requirements: Rare float if needed, only to other medical/surgical units.

All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment.
