Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients referred by physicians to establish clear treatment plans tailored to individual needs.
• Carry out interventions focused on a range of specialties including orthopedic, pediatric, neurological, and sports medicine.
• Provide direct therapeutic care, employing various procedures and techniques to achieve targeted functional improvements aligned with physicians' guidelines.
• Utilize electronic health records to accurately document patient progress and treatment outcomes.
• Engage in educational conversations with patients and their caregivers to empower them in their rehabilitation process.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to maximize patient recovery through integrative care approaches.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist at Down East Care, you will primarily work with diverse patient populations including those recovering from surgeries, injuries, and chronic conditions. Your focus will lie in guiding pediatric patients with developmental disorders, adults overcoming orthopedic issues, and elderly clients needing rehabilitation from strokes or falls. Qualifications

• Graduation from an APTA or CAPTE-accredited physical therapy program.
• Possession of a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $100,000 – $120,000 annually, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
