We are seeking an experienced Front of House Captain to oversee daily dining room operations at LALAON, a high-volume Korean BBQ and waterfront restaurant in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
This role is focused on floor leadership, guest experience, and overall FOH operations. The ideal candidate is confident managing service flow, supporting servers and captains, overseeing tableside grilling standards, and resolving guest concerns quickly and professionally.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing and supervising all front-of-house floor operations
- Leading servers, captains, runners, and support staff during service
- Maintaining strong service standards and hospitality culture
- Overseeing Korean BBQ tableside grilling service and guest interactions
- Handling guest concerns and resolving service issues professionally
- Monitoring dining room flow, pacing, reservations, and floor organization
- Supporting staff training and maintaining consistency in service execution
- Ensuring cleanliness, professionalism, and teamwork throughout the FOH
We are looking for someone who is:
- Calm under pressure and highly organized
- Hands-on and comfortable working directly on the floor
- Strong in communication and team leadership
- Experienced in high-volume or upscale dining environments
- Hospitality-driven with strong problem-solving skills
- Comfortable managing fast-paced service while maintaining a positive atmosphere
Experience with Korean BBQ, steakhouse, or interactive dining service is strongly preferred. This is an operations-focused leadership role centered around hospitality, floor management, and team execution rather than administrative office work or financial reporting.
