Sr. Supply Chain Analytics Manager

Overview

As the Sr. Supply Chain Analytics Manager at Office Depot Business, you will be responsible for supporting the analytics and reporting functions for the supply chain organization, driving data-driven decision-making and operational excellence.

You will partner with leaders across Inventory Management, Transportation, Distribution Centers, Merchandising, Logistics, and Finance to analyze business processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and deliver actionable insights that reduce costs and increase efficiency. Your expertise in advanced analytics, modeling, and reporting will shape strategic initiatives, optimize workflows, and support large-scale investment decisions. This role requires a strategic thinker who can translate complex data into clear recommendations, influence senior leadership, and lead the evolution of supply chain analytics capabilities.

Primary Responsibilities:

Analytics Leadership & Strategic Initiatives:

• Lead the design and execution of advanced analytics projects, developing models and data-driven recommendations to optimize supply chain operations and support key strategic initiatives.

Reporting & Dashboard Development:

• Oversee the creation, enhancement, and systematic generation of professional-level, polished operational reports and analytical dashboards (e.g., Power BI), leveraging AI tools such as Claude to build artifacts and accelerate the generation of actionable insights, and ensuring key metrics are measured and delivered to stakeholders.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Partners with Supply Chain, Merchandising, Logistics, and Finance leaders to frame business problems, analyze processes, and recommend solutions that drive cost reduction and efficiency.

Process Improvement & Modeling:

• Conduct analytical studies, develop mathematical/statistical models, and evaluate workflow alternatives to identify and implement process improvements across the supply chain.

Data Management & Special Projects:

• Manage large-scale data extraction and analysis (SQL, VBA, scripting), leverage AI tools such as Claude to build artifacts and generate insights, support special projects such as SKU lifecycle management and ABC classification, and ensure data integrity for high-impact business decisions.

Education and Experience:

• Level of Formal Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

• Area of Study: Supply Chain, logistics, Applied Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline

• Minimum Years of Experience: 6

• Type of Experience: Data analytics related to supply chain operations, data management and modeling, operations strategy

• Technical Competencies & Information Systems: Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Access), Power Platform a plus, SQL, Power BI (professional-level dashboard development), Claude or comparable AI tools for building artifacts and generating insights, mathematical/statistical modeling

• Skills & Abilities: Candidates should possess strong leadership and a proactive, creative approach to problem-solving, with the ability to quickly learn and communicate strategic operations initiatives to stakeholders at all levels. Innovative, dynamic, and possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, enabling them to influence both peers and executives. With exceptional analytical abilities, they are experts in supply chain operations, data mining, and mathematical/statistical modeling, and can leverage these skills to develop data-driven business cases and predictive models for optimization. Technically, they are highly proficient in SQL Server, Snowflake, and business intelligence reporting tools such as Power BI, with a demonstrated track record of building professional-level, polished dashboards. They are also proficient in using AI tools such as Claude to build artifacts, automate analysis, and generate data-driven insights, with advanced skills in data management, data modeling, and familiarity with coding and scripting languages. Additionally, they have the capacity to quickly learn costing models, business case development, and product valuation and pricing strategies, making them well-equipped to drive operational excellence and innovation.
