Teaching Assistant

Position:Teaching Assistant (2 positions) Location:Brookside Elementary School Schedule:2026-2027 School Year - Hours 8:35 - 3:05 Salary:Per Contract $19.10 - $24.92/hour based on experience & certification To Start:August 24, 2026 Qualifications: • High School Diploma or GED required • Bachelor's Degree preferred; • Sheltered English Immersion (SEI) Endorsement preferred; • Experience working with students with and without disabilities; • Demonstrate the ability to assist in the inclusion and/or Special Education classroom; • Experience working with English Language Learners • Bilingual preferred • CPI training preferred Responsibilities: • Work under the supervision of building administration, Special Education teachers, and classroom teachers; • Assist small groups and/or individual students with progress toward academic, social-emotional, and/or behavioral goals within the classroom, with guidance provided by the teacher; • Communicate and collaborate with teachers; • Provide direct instruction in an inclusion classroom or small group setting; • Ability to modify curriculum; • Maintain confidential information; • Collect data on student performance as needed; • Assist students with daily living/self-help skills; • Attend and participate in training opportunities as directed; and • Perform supervisory duties, as assigned by school administration.
