Summary:

• We are seeking a highly motivated Business Systems & Automation Analyst to support the integration, automation, and optimization of manufacturing and laboratory data systems.
• This role will serve as a critical bridge between Operations, Quality, and IT by enabling seamless data flow across ERP systems, scheduling tools, and laboratory workflows.
• The ideal candidate will drive the development of automated solutions that connect production orders, scheduling, lab execution, and qualification workflows, while enabling real-time visibility through dashboards and reporting tools.
• This is a contract role supporting a high-impact initiative to modernize and scale data-driven operations.

Responsibilities

Systems Integration & Automation

• Design and implement automated data workflows connecting Microsoft Dynamics NAV (ERP) with scheduling tools, lab workflows, and reporting systems
• Establish end-to-end data flow from production order creation, scheduling, execution, and qualification to reporting
• Integrate systems to enable real-time updates across Operations

Production Scheduling Enablement

• Develop and support a production scheduling framework/system that optimizes resources for maximum output
• Improve scheduling efficiency, reducing manual coordination and delays

Data Management & Database Development

• Architect scalable databases to support production, lab, and quality workflows
• Create data pipelines to pull data from various systems and transformation to enable KPI's and ad hoc analysis
• Cleanse, standardize, and validate data to ensure accuracy and consistency across systems
• Develop data governance policies, standards, and best practices to maintain data integrity and compliance
• Ensure data integrity, accessibility, and scalability across platforms

Reporting & Visualization

• Develop Power BI dashboards to provide real-time insights catered to varying audiences
• Identify issues and create actionable alerts
• Replace manual reporting processes with automated, scalable solutions

Lab Systems & Data Integration

• Support backend data integration from laboratory systems (e.g., Chromeleon)
• Enable linkage between lab data and electronic batch records (e.g., Dozuki or equivalent systems)
• Streamline sample tracking and qualification workflows

Required Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business Systems, or related field
• 1 3 years of experience in business systems, data analysis, or automation-focused roles
• Exposure to manufacturing, biotech, or lab environments
• Experience with workflow automation tools (Power Automate, scripting, etc.)
• Familiarity with electronic batch records systems (e.g., Dozuki or similar)
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel (advanced level required, macros, Power Query, complex formulas), SQL, Python
• Experience working with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics/Navision preferred)
• Experience with Power BI or other data visualization tools
• Experience integrating data from laboratory systems (e.g., Chromeleon or similar platforms)
• Basic understanding of database setup and data structures
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Ability to work cross-functionally with operations, lab, and technical teams
