Bar Back at MOGO/Hannah's - Pier Village

Hannah's - A Modern Korean Pocha is seeking hardworking, dependable, and hospitality-minded Barbacks to support our bartending and serving team and help create an exceptional guest experience from behind the scenes.

Barbacks are essential to the success of service. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments, take pride in staying organized, and enjoy being part of a collaborative team.

Successful barbacks move with urgency, anticipate guest and team member needs before they arise, and understand that preparation and consistency are the foundation of great hospitality.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Restock liquor, beer, wine, juices, garnishes, ice, and bar supplies throughout service
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of all bar areas, wells, and storage spaces
• Assist bartenders with setup, breakdown, and operational support
• Prepare garnishes, juices, syrups, and other bar prep items according to standards
• Remove and restock glassware, trash, and recyclables promptly and efficiently
• Support opening and closing cleaning procedures
• Maintain product rotation and labeling standards
• Assist with inventory organization and deliveries
• Follow all sanitation, food safety, and responsible alcohol compliance standards
• Work collaboratively with the entire front-of-house team to maintain smooth operations
• Help maintain the upbeat, positive energy of the bar environment for guests and fellow team members
• Maintain a neat and clean guest-facing appearance
• Emphasize continual communication and improvement
• Other responsibilities deemed necessary by store management

What we're looking for:

• Previous barback, restaurant, hospitality, or high-volume service experience required
• Strong work ethic and sense of urgency
• Ability to stay organized and multitask under pressure
• Positive attitude and team-first mentality
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
• Reliable transportation and strong attendance record
• Nights, weekends, and holiday availability required
• Professional appearance and polished guest-facing presentation
• Interest in learning bartending and hospitality operations is a plus
• City of Long Branch ABC Card is required.

Available shifts and compensation:

• 24+ hours per week including days, evenings, weekends, and holiday shifts
• Seasonal and year-round opportunities available based on performance
• Compensation: $6.05/hour plus tips
• Opportunities for training and advancement into bartender positions
