We're looking for a Human Resources Business Partner who enjoys building relationships, solving problems, and helping managers bring out the best in their teams. SDB is a growing community supporting pediatric dentistry, orthodontic, and oral surgery practices across the country. Our HR team plays an important role in that growth by making sure our leaders and team members have the support, tools, and guidance they need to succeed.

What You'll Do:

As an HR Business Partner, you'll work closely with regional leaders, Practice Managers, Office Managers, and local leadership teams. You'll be a go-to HR partner for the everyday people matters that come with leading a great team.

Travel: 30% based on business needs.

You'll Spend Your Time:

• Building strong, trusted relationships with managers and operational leaders
• Coaching managers through employee conversations, performance concerns, and day-to-day people decisions
• Supporting performance management, corrective action, and employee documentation
• Helping leaders navigate employee relations concerns and workplace conflict
• Conducting or supporting employee investigations in partnership with Employee Relations
• Partnering with leaders on employee engagement, retention, and team morale
• Helping identify opportunities to strengthen workplace culture
• Supporting leaders and employees through organizational changes
• Providing guidance on HR policies and helping ensure they are applied consistently and fairly
• Collaborating with Employee Relations, Talent Acquisition, Benefits, Payroll, HR Operations, and other partners across SDB
• Looking at workforce trends and helping leaders turn those insights into practical next steps
• Supporting HR programs, leadership development initiatives, and other people-focused projects

Requirements:

• 3–5 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 2 years of direct HR Business Partner experience; experience in HR Generalist or Employee Relations-focused roles is preferred.
• Experience supporting managers with employee relations and performance management
• Working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
• Experience with corrective action, employee documentation, and workplace investigations
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Good judgment and the ability to handle sensitive situations professionally
• A practical, solutions-focused approach to HR
• The ability to balance multiple priorities in a growing, fast-paced environment
• Experience supporting multiple locations or field-based teams is a plus
• A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred
• PHR or SHRM-CP certification is a plus, but not required
