Medallion Mental Wellness Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our dynamic team in a fully remote role. This position is essential for providing high-quality outpatient mental health services to individuals and families in the Amarillo, Texas area. The counselor will conduct initial assessments, develop tailored treatment plans, and deliver effective therapy to a diverse client population, all while working flexibly from home.

Work Environment

This role is designed for a telehealth setting, providing a flexible working arrangement that allows you to maintain a work-life balance while focusing on your clients. As a remote Mental Health Counselor, you'll engage with clients through video conferencing and a secure messaging platform—Simple Practice—letting you provide effective therapy from the comfort of your own home.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive initial assessments to understand clients' mental health needs and establish rapport.
• Develop personalized treatment plans based on assessment findings and ongoing client progress.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and other modalities tailored to client preferences.
• Provide therapy to individuals, couples, and families using video conferencing technology.
• Regularly evaluate and adjust treatment plans to ensure effective client outcomes.
• Document all client interactions and maintain confidential client records through Simple Practice.
• Participate in peer consultation and support groups to enhance clinical skills and share insights.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Mental Health Counselor will primarily work with teens, adults, and couples facing various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, and coping difficulties. By providing tailored therapeutic interventions, you will help clients navigate their mental health journeys and achieve their personal goals.

Qualifications

• Possession of a Master's degree in Counseling, Marriage/Family Therapy, or Social Work.
• Licensure as a mental health clinician (LMFT, LPC, or LCSW) is required.
• At least 2 years of experience in mental health counseling or psychotherapy.
• Strong treatment planning and counseling skills, with the ability to adapt therapeutic approaches to meet client needs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, conducive to virtual therapy settings.
• Comfortable working in a fully remote environment and using telehealth technologies.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in telehealth or remote therapy settings.
• Familiarity with working with diverse populations and understanding cultural competency.

Compensation and Benefits

• Annual salary range of USD 80,000 – 110,000, reflecting experience and qualifications.
