As a Security Officer Unarmed Access Patrol in San Jose, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Security Officer in a residential community, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help discourage security-related incidents, and support residents and guests with outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, and/or property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or maintenance-related concerns in a calm, problem-solving manner and communicate relevant information to property management and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the residential community, including common areas, parking areas, building exteriors, and perimeter locations, with attention to unusual activity and/or property-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and community areas to help support authorized entry, observe visitor activity, and report suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or hazards.
• Document daily activities, incidents, and/or resident interactions in required reports and help to deter issues through visible presence and professional communication.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
