Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer Unarmed Community Patrol in Santa Clara, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. In this unarmed role, you will support a welcoming environment through routine patrols, strong awareness, and teamwork, while reflecting our values of being agile, reliable, innovative, and acting with integrity.

DayTimeFri12:30 PM - 09:00 PMSat12:30 PM - 09:00 PMSun11:30 AM - 08:00 PMWhat You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with management and/or public emergency personnel as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the sales floor, stockroom areas, entrances, exits, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points, observe customer and employee activity, and report suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or potential loss prevention concerns in accordance with site guidelines.
- Support a professional retail environment by assisting with directional questions, monitoring high-traffic areas, and following post orders related to opening, closing, and after-hours procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
