It’s real systems, at real scale, people solving some of the hardest challenges in technology today.\nWe’re looking for people who want to build, solve, and operate at that level.\nJoin us and let’s shape the future of data.Job Description\n\nThe Deputy Chief Compliance Officer serves as the Chief Compliance Officer’s principal deputy and is responsible for overseeing the operational execution of the company’s global Ethics & Compliance program. This executive oversees the day-to-day management of core compliance functions, ensuring that programs operate effectively, consistently, and in alignment with legal requirements, regulatory expectations, and the company’s values.\nThe Deputy Chief Compliance Officer provides strategic and operational oversight of compliance operations, investigations, anti-corruption compliance, ethics reporting, employee training, and compliance communications while helping build and sustain a culture of integrity across the organization. The role serves as the Chief Compliance Officer’s delegate on key initiatives and governance activities and oversees a high-performing compliance team.\nExperience in international trade compliance, privacy, data protection, and artificial intelligence governance is highly desirable.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nCompliance Operations and Program Management\n\n Oversee the day-to-day operation of the global Ethics & Compliance program.\n Translate compliance strategy into operational plans, measurable objectives, and effective execution.\n Develop and manage annual compliance work plans, budgets, metrics, and performance dashboards.\n Establish clear roles, processes, service expectations, and accountability across the compliance team.\n Drive continuous improvement across compliance processes, technology, reporting, and governance.\n Establish scalable processes that support business growth and evolving regulatory expectations.\n Coordinate compliance risk assessments, program reviews, monitoring, testing, and remediation activities.\n Prepare executive and Board-level compliance reports and presentations.\n Serve as the Chief Compliance Officer’s delegate on designated committees, initiatives, and leadership matters.\n\nEthics Reporting and Whistleblower Program\nOversee the company’s global ethics reporting and whistleblower program, including:\n\n Ethics hotline, web-based reporting, and other speak-up channels.\n Case intake, assessment, triage, assignment, escalation, and closure.\n Case-management systems, processes, documentation, and quality standards.\n Oversight of hotline and case-management vendors.\n Reporting analytics, trend identification, and root-cause analysis.\n Speak-up culture initiatives and employee awareness.\n Retaliation prevention, monitoring, and response.\n Confidentiality, data privacy, and regulatory reporting requirements.\n Reporting of significant matters to senior leadership and appropriate Board committees.\n Ensure that concerns are handled promptly, objectively, consistently, confidentially, and in accordance with company policy and applicable law.\n\nInvestigations\nOversee the global compliance investigations function, including investigations involving:\n\n Code of Conduct violations.\n Bribery and corruption.\n Fraud, theft, and financial misconduct.\n Conflicts of interest.\n Retaliation.\n Third-party misconduct.\n Books-and-records or internal-controls concerns.\n Misuse of company assets or information.\n Trade, privacy, data, or technology-related compliance concerns, as appropriate.\n Other significant legal, ethical, or reputational risks.\n\nAdditional responsibilities include:\n\n Establish investigation protocols, documentation requirements, and quality standards.\n Ensure appropriate independence, objectivity, confidentiality, and consistency.\n Oversee internal investigators, cross-functional investigation teams, and outside counsel.\n Ensure investigations are timely, thorough, well documented, and defensible.\n Coordinate with Human Resources, Legal, Internal Audit, Security, and other functions.\n Identify root causes, systemic issues, and appropriate corrective actions.\n Promote consistent disciplinary and remediation practices.\n Present significant matters to executive leadership and Board committees, as appropriate.\n Track investigation trends and use findings to improve policies, controls, training, and organizational culture.\n\nAnti-Corruption Compliance\nOversee the company’s global anti-bribery and anti-corruption compliance program, including:\n\n Compliance with the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, UK Bribery Act, and other applicable anti-corruption laws.\n Gifts, meals, travel, entertainment, and hospitality controls.\n Interactions with government officials and state-owned enterprises.\n Charitable contributions, political contributions, sponsorships, and community investments.\n Third-party anti-corruption due diligence, contracting, monitoring, and remediation.\n Anti-corruption risk assessments.\n Books-and-records and internal-controls requirements.\n Mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and other transaction-related anti-corruption diligence and integration.\n Risk-based monitoring and testing of anti-corruption controls.\n Investigation and remediation of potential anti-corruption concerns.\n\nPartner with Legal, Finance, Internal Audit, Procurement, Sales, Human Resources, and business leaders to identify, assess, and mitigate corruption risks globally.\nCompliance Training and Communications\nOversee the company’s ethics and compliance education and communications strategy, including:\n\n Annual Code of Conduct training.\n Risk-based compliance training.\n Anti-corruption training.\n Manager and leadership education.\n Investigator and case-management training.\n Speak-up and non-retaliation communications.\n New employee onboarding.\n Policy launches and targeted communications.\n Compliance awareness campaigns.\n Training for higher-risk functions, geographies, and employee populations.\n\nOversee the development of practical, engaging, accessible, and measurable learning experiences that strengthen ethical decision-making and help employees understand how compliance requirements apply to their work.\nEstablish metrics to evaluate training completion, employee understanding, behavioral impact, and opportunities for improvement.\nTeam Operations and Oversight\n\n Oversee the operations, performance, and development of the compliance team.\n Establish clear objectives, priorities, performance expectations, and accountability.\n Support team capability building, professional development, and succession planning.\n Promote collaboration across regional and functional teams.\n Allocate resources according to risk and business priorities.\n Foster a culture of integrity, inclusion, accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.\n Support the Chief Compliance Officer in organizational planning and talent development across the broader compliance function.\n\nCross-Functional Leadership\nPartner closely with:\n\n Legal.\n International Trade Compliance.\n Privacy and Data Protection.\n Artificial Intelligence and Data Governance.\n Internal Audit.\n Human Resources.\n Finance.\n Information Security.\n Corporate Security.\n Enterprise Risk Management.\n Procurement.\n Internal Communications.\n Government Affairs.\n Business and regional leadership.\n\nServe as a trusted advisor on ethics and compliance matters and help promote coordinated governance across legal, regulatory, data, technology, and enterprise-risk functions.\nSupport for Adjacent Governance Areas\nAlthough the role’s principal responsibilities are compliance operations, training, the whistleblower program, investigations, and anti-corruption, the Deputy Chief Compliance Officer may also support the Chief Compliance Officer in adjacent areas, including:\n\n International trade compliance, export controls, sanctions, customs, and antiboycott matters.\n Privacy and data-protection governance.\n Artificial intelligence and responsible AI governance.\n Data governance and emerging technology risk.\n Cross-functional regulatory risk assessments.\n Governance committees and enterprise-wide risk initiatives.\n Coordination among legal, compliance, privacy, security, data, and technology stakeholders.\n\nThe level of responsibility in these areas will depend on the successful candidate’s experience and the evolving needs of the organization.\nGovernance, Metrics, and Reporting\n\n Develop meaningful compliance key performance indicators and key risk indicators.\n Provide regular program updates to executive leadership.\n Support reporting to the Board of Directors and appropriate Board committees.\n Monitor regulatory developments, enforcement trends, and emerging compliance risks.\n Oversee compliance documentation, recordkeeping, and evidence of program effectiveness.\n Support periodic compliance program assessments and benchmarking.\n Use hotline, investigation, training, monitoring, and other data to identify trends and recommend improvements.\n Assist the Chief Compliance Officer in establishing an integrated view of compliance and regulatory risk\nQualifications\n\n Bachelor’s degree required; Juris Doctor or other relevant advanced degree preferred.\n At least 12 years of progressively responsible experience in ethics and compliance, legal, investigations, risk management, or a related field.\n Significant experience overseeing or managing a global or multinational compliance program.\n Demonstrated experience in:\n Compliance program operations.\n Corporate investigations.\n Ethics reporting and whistleblower systems.\n Anti-bribery and anti-corruption compliance.\n Compliance training and communications.\n Program metrics, governance, and executive reporting.\n Experience managing and developing compliance professionals.\n Strong executive presence, judgment, and communication skills.\n Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders and collaborate across functions and geographies.\n Ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with discretion and objectivity.\n Experience managing complex projects and translating strategy into execution.\n Daily presence (Monday, Wednesday and Thursday) in office; periodically on Tuesday or Friday.
