Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments, taking into account the specific needs and complexities that come with treating older adults, such as cognitive impairments and comorbid health conditions.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based practices, addressing issues such as depression, anxiety, dementia-related disorders, and adjustment challenges.

• Provide therapeutic interventions, including both individual and family therapy, ensuring that interventions are tailored to the geriatric patient’s circumstances.

• Offer crisis intervention services to support elderly patients during mental health emergencies, showcasing your ability to think critically and act swiftly under pressure.

• Educate patients and their families about mental health issues, treatment options, and available community resources, empowering them to take an active role in their care.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in compliance with HIPAA and ethical standards, ensuring transparency in communication with other healthcare providers.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be the geriatric population dealing with a variety of psychiatric conditions. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Active and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in Georgia.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience is preferred, particularly in geriatric mental health settings.

• Strong foundational knowledge of geriatric mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment methodologies.

• Demonstrated experience in conducting both individual and family therapy sessions for older adults.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 70,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
